Joan Booth Barton

Joan Booth Barton, age 81, died Monday, November 11, 2013 at her home in Lafayette, La. Ms. Barton was born in Shreveport, La. on February 18, 1932 to William Henry and Mary Allen Booth. She is survived by her children, Quinton Smith of Little Rock, Ark., Reid Maddox Smith (Jeni) of Lafayette, LA; Mose Booth Smith (Kristin) of Atlanta, Ga. and Lucille Smith Leach (Alfred) of Wilton, Conn. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Booth McGregor Owens of Little Rock, Ark.; Reid Nash Smith, Harrison William Smith and Hayley Hamilton Smith of Richmond, Va.; Bruno Dyer Smith of Lafayette, La. and Hannah Ryerson Leach and Lawson Warwick Leach of Wilton, Conn. She also leaves behind her beloved rescue dog, Tippy. Special thanks to St. Joseph's Hospice Team, Home Instead, and Advantage Nursing Care. A private family service will be held.
