Geoffrey G. McGilvray left this earth far too soon on November 13, 2013. He was the very loving and much loved son of parents, Kathryn (mother) and Luther Zachary and Don McGilvray (father) and Mary Elliott. Geoffrey was blessed to have his grandmother, Lee Keenihan, grandfather, Harold S. McGilvray; older brother, Stuart McGilvray, sister-in-law, Anne McGilvray, younger brother, Drew McGilvray, sister, Paige McGilvray; aunts, Jamye McGilvray and Sandra Franecke, uncle, Steve Beight, nieces and nephews, Gavin, Mairyn and Sarah Anne McGilvray, and Ethan, Violet, Fletcher Riggs; cousins, Cody, Brandy and Kelsey Beight and Jennifer Franecke, and many beloved friends still with him until this day. And many whom have passed on before him; and we all shared his life, goodness, humor and love. Geoffrey was born in Little Rock, Arkansas June 28, 1977. He later moved to Atlanta Georgia where he graduated from Lassiter High School and The University of Georgia. After working in Atlanta, Geoff returned to Arkansas where he owned and operated Tannenbaum Lodge on Greers Ferry Lake. He loved travel, food, basketball, volleyball, his UGA football team, biking, hiking and music. Geoffrey loved people and helping others. While at college and later, he enjoyed helping those older with chores they couldn't do for themselves, such as yard work and cleaning out attics. He loved children and being "Uncle Geoff". He enjoyed his volunteer work with Hearts & Hooves and the very special people there. Geoffrey did many wonderful things and touched so many with his loving sweet heart and genuine care for those he loved and many whom he didn't know well. To have his love was a gift which all who knew him will keep with us always. Finally, Geoffrey had a sense of humor that anyone that knew him will smile and say, "he sure did". A Visitation will be held at 1:00 PM, Saturday November 16, 2013, followed immediately by a Memorial service at 2 p.m. at the North Little Rock Funeral Home,1921 Main Street, North Little Rock.
