Thomas Lee Crossland

Thomas (Tom) Lee Crossland, 72, of Humphrey, Arkansas was called to his heavenly home on Tuesday, November 19, 2013, at the Veterans Hospital in Little Rock. He was born in Romance, Arkansas on November 13, 1941. Tom was proud to have had the opportunity to serve his country in the Army for fourteen years. He was even more proud to preach God's Word and to witness to others about his Lord and Savior. He had a heart of gold and left an amazing example of how to live by his words and actions. His love for children of all ages was evident through his service as a baseball coach and umpire, trainer for the Gillett High School football team, bowling coach, and simply just acting like a kid to earn their trust. He is resting now with the Lord but his works will live on in ways that cannot be overlooked. He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Coleman and Deola Crossland. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Lillie; one daughter and son-n-law, Casey and Zach McCrotty of North Little Rock; one son, Coleman Crossland of Conway; three brothers, Randall (Pauline) Crossland and Dean (Rhonda) Crossland, both of Bryant, and Felton(Linda) Crossland of Villa Rica, Georgia. Visitation will be from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday at Turpin Funeral Home in Stuttgart. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Turpin Funeral Home with burial following at Frazier Cemetery on Highway 152 near Humphrey. Memorials may be sent to Faith MBC, P.O. Box 68, Aubrey, Ark. 72311. Visitors will be received at his home in Humphrey. Please go to www.turpinco.com to sign the online guestbook.
