Ila Jean Besancon, 86, of Jacksonville, Arkansas, was born December 15, 1926, at Burns, Wyoming, to Ray and Leona (Rand) Francis, and she died Tuesday, November 19, 2013. She was employed by Franklin Electric in Jacksonville for thirty-seven years; was a member of the Eastern Star and St. Paul United Methodist Church in Searcy. Ila Jean was a wonderful, loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt. She is survived by five grandchildren, Randy Besancon (Stacey) of Cabot, Tina Rotenbury (James) of Russellville, Becky Denney of Pottsville, Rachel Hammett (Kevin) of Cabot, Daniel Besancon of Jacksonville; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and one on the way; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands Hershel Besancon and Sam Thompson; her only child, Randy Besancon, Sr.; two sisters, Pauline Wittenburg and Ramona Graham; and one brother, Charles Francis. Memorials may be made to The National Kidney Foundation, Finance Dept., 30 E. 33rd St., New York, N.Y. 10016. Family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday at Westbrook Funeral Home, Beebe.
