Geraldine Blackwell Brewer

Geraldine "Jerri" Blackwell Brewer, 81, of Stuttgart, widow of Earl Jess Brewer, passed away Saturday, November 23, 2013, at Chambers Nursing Home in Carlisle. Mrs. Brewer was born August 21, 1931, in Arkansas County to Bearl Wilbur "Slick" and Maude Goetz Blackwell. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church where she was active in Clara Kleinman Guild. She was a homemaker. In her younger years, she enjoyed canning fresh vegetables and making homemade jelly. She also enjoyed reading, church and animals. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Cindy Brewer. Survivors are one son, Wes Brewer and wife Sherri Buerkle Brewer of Stuttgart; two grandchildren, Brian Brewer of Stuttgart and Misti (Kyle) Pattillo of Fayetteville; four great-grandchildren, Austin and Alexis Brewer and Hudson and Davis Pattillo; brothers, Tom Blackwell and John Blackwell; step-brothers, August Hensiek and Frederick Fritz Hensiek, and step-sisters, Pansy Locke and Zelma Klunder. Her family would like thank Dr. Chris Morgan and the staff at Chambers Nursing Home for their excellent care. Funeral services, officiated by Pastor Don White, are 11 a.m. Friday at St. John's Lutheran Church with burial following in Lone Tree Cemetery.
