On September 26, 2013 Debby "BIG SISTER" Herman-Buggs left heaven bound to be with Momma and Mike. Debby a brilliant, hardworking executive as Director of sales for Sudden link Communication was born January 10, 1952 to Kirke and Pearl Herman. She was a lifelong member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church. Debby was educated at St. Bartholomew Catholic School, Mount St. Mary Academy, and graduated from Central High School. She received her bachelor and master degrees in communication from Texas Christian University. Debby is preceded in death by her loving mother, Pearl Herman, brother, Michael Herman, husband Edward C. Buggs, and uncle Christopher C. Mercer. She is survived by her father, Kirke Herman; brothers, Rocky (Teresa) of Little Rock, Alex "Tank" (Dianne) of Houston; mother-in-Law, Hazel Buggs; sisters-in law, Johnnie Herman and Dr. Jacentha (Robert) Buggs-Morrison; Aunts Alexis (Charles)Herman, Harriett LeMay, and Pamela Mercer; nieces and nephews, Stella Henry, Rafanee, Rita Baldwin, Gabrielle Morrison, Jon-Michael, Jeremiah, Gavin Herman, Robert and Edward Morrison, Chris Williams; and greats Tamieka, Taylor, and Keaton. Special friends include, Elizabeth Walker, Virginia Ford, Harrietta lindsey, Glenda Murray-Thompson and Marie Dale; plus many cousins. Debby loved her family and her dog "Cricket". She liked old classic movies, taking walks, reading a good book, watching the Academy Awards show and predicting the winners, going to the theatre and opening gifts on Christmas morning. A special thanks to Hazel Buggs for being there and her co-workers and friends at Suddenlink Communications. Debby was "Big Sister" to all. She was always taking care of others, and more concerned about their needs than her own. She was a wonderful, caring, intelligent and loving daughter, sister, aunt, niece, daughter-in-law and friend. The Rosary and family hour will be Wednesday, October 2nd, 6-7:30 p.m. at Griffin Leggett Healey & Roth, 5800 W. 12th Street. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church 1622 Marshall St, little Rock, on Thursday, October 3rd at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery, Little Rock.
