Jerry Faith Cooke, 70, of Sherwood went to be with his Lord on Friday, September 27, 2013. He was preceded in death by his father, Sandfer C. Cooke. Jerry attended Little Rock Elementary and Jr. High Schools and J.C. Cook High School, Wrightsville, Arkansas, during the 1957 crisis. After graduating from Horace Mann High School in 1961, he attended AM&N College in Pine Bluff (now UAPB) for a year and then joined the United States Air Force and the Arkansas Air National Guard for eleven years attaining the rank of Staff Sergeant. He retired from Allstate Insurance in June 2000, was a member of Knights of Columbus Council 6253 in North Little Rock and past member of Boy Scouts of America. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Patricia Gillam Cooke; his half-sister, Maureen Walker, of Bloomfield, Connecticut; and a host of nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, classmates and other friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Bartholomew Church 1622 Marshall St., Little Rock. A visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday followed by a rosary service at 7p.m., at North Little Rock Funeral Home.
