Kimberly Lynn Sutton

Kimberly Lynn (Emde) Sutton, 59, of Little Rock, passed from this life on Friday, September 27, 2013. She was born May 22, 1954 in Searcy a daughter of Raymond Don and Barbara Thomas Emde. Kim was an Honors Graduate from Bald Knob High School, Class of 1972. She was a retired U.S. Army Colonel as well as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. Kim served her country during Desert Storm and had been, most recently, deployed to Germany and Hawaii. She was an avid music lover and enjoyed traveling and spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Ret. Colonel, John E. Sutton of Little Rock; step-son, Gregory Sutton (Laura) of California, Maryland; two grandchildren, Patrick and Nathaniel Sutton; step-son, Thomas Sutton (Chelci) of Raleigh, North Carolina; parents, Raymond Don and Barbara Emde of Bald Knob. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Ottie Ford. Visitation will be Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. Services will be conducted on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 at 2 p.m. at the Powell Funeral Home Chapel with Guerry Moorer officiating. Interment will follow in the Steward Addition of Shady Grove Cemetery by Powell Funeral Home, Bald Knob-Judsonia.
