Jimmy David Shepherd, age 72, of Hot Springs, Ark., passed away on Friday, Oct. 4, 2013. He was born on July 27, 1941 in Little Rock, Ark. to Clyde and Louise Looney Shepherd and was of the Baptist faith. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was retired from the U.S. Postal Service after serving 30 years. He was preceded in death by his parents; a wife of 12 years, Faye Hall Shepherd; brothers, Cecil, Nicholas, Paul; sister, Lillian Sisson; and stepson, Keith Rowe. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Shepherd; son, Michael Shepherd and wife, Myra; stepdaughter, Tyra Hooks; stepson, Kelly Rowe and wife, Kim; seven grandchildren, Jessica Fuqua and husband, Erik; Austin Shepherd, Ethan Shepherd, Matthew Peterson, Janice Peterson, Kayla Montgomery and husband, Mark and Ashley Nixon; one great-grandchild, Locke Fuqua; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2013 at Roller-Drummond Funeral Home, 10900 Interstate 30, Little Rock, Ark. 72209 (501) 455-5800 with burial at 12 p.m., Tuesday at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock.
