Ernestine Nash Sandberg

ERNESTINE NASH SANDBERG, Sister to her family, Ernie to her friends and Princess at church peacefully left this world Sept. 24, 2013; multiple names for a woman who was a different, but important person to so many people. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don; mother and father, Cleveland and Esteva Nash; brothers, Edgar, Bobby, Billy; and sister, Lucille. She is survived by her brothers, Jack, Roy and Jimmy; sisters, Anita Lamb and Peggy Clinton; as well as, nieces and nephews too numerous to mention. Devoted to her church, "Princess" was cared for by many, most importantly her loving friends Sharon and Howard Haun who cared for her until her last days. A true fan of the Arkansas Razorbacks and Saint Louis Cardinals, she began listening to games on the car radio in the Arkansas Delta and followed them through good and bad; going anywhere to listen to a game. She loved music and would often recall a song before telling a story, but her most cherished part was the line "5 Golden Rings" in the 12 Days of Christmas. Never afraid to give her strong opinion she offered advice, good or bad, until her last day. A memorial service will be held, Saturday, Oct. 12 at 3 p.m. at Seventh Day Adventist Church 15202 Hwy 107, Sherwood, Ark. In lieu of flowers the family asks that honorariums be made to the America Cancer Society or the Seventh Day Adventist Church of Sherwood, Ark.
