Crystal Elaine Givens

Crystal Elaine Givens, 51, of Benton (formerly of Vilonia) went to be with her Lord and savior Jesus on Thursday October 17, 2013 at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston Texas. She was born in Little Rock, Ark. on May 15, 1962. Crystal graduated from McClellan High School in 1980 and earned a B.A. in English from UALR in 1987. Crystal married the love of her life, Jerry Dean Givens, in 1980 and together they had three sons, Jeffrey Allen (Amy Victoria) , John Jacob (Alexa Lavonne and soon granddaughter Rebecca Elaine), and Joseph Dean. Crystal was a dedicated wife and mother who adored the outdoors. She had a passion for Jesus and was quick to share her faith, and wrapped her life around her family. Crystal was preceded in death by her father Carlton E. Allen Sr., and grandparents C.E. & Mora Allen and C.E. & Marie Bingham. She is survived by her family and mother & stepfather, Evelyn and Jerry Spohnholz, brother Eddie (Tammy) Allen; sisters, Pam (Pat) Pickett, Steffanie (Doug) Ehorn, Jeffery Spohnholz and brother Michael (Theresa) Spohnholz and many nieces and nephews and cousins. A service to celebrate Crystal's live will be held October 23, 2013 at 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Vilonia Arkansas, with visitation one hour prior to the service. A graveside service will be held at Forrest Hills Cemetery at 4 p.m. here will be a gathering of family and friends shortly after at Geyer Springs FBC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either FBC Vilonia, Geyer Springs FBC, or Civitan International of Saline County.
