Freddie Crownover Worrell passed away September 2, 2013 at her home in Hot Springs. She was born February 6, 1931 to John William Jackson and Hettie Almeda Kitchell Jackson in Ingalls, Arkansas (Bradley County). She grew up on a farm in southern Arkansas and played basketball at Vick High School. She had a zest for life, loved to cook, shop, fish, hunt and travel. She loved her family dearly. She was a member of Ouachita Missionary Baptist Church in Donaldson. She was preceded in death by two husbands, C.B. Crownover and Clyde Randle Hinson, and a sister Erma Dean Corker. She is survived by her husband Gifford Worrell; her son Jim Crownover and wife Marsha of Chesterfield, Va.; a brother, Willie Truman Jackson and wife Hettie of White Hall, Ark.; two sisters, Myrline Harrod of Fontana, Calif. and Patsy Zimmerman of Brighton, Ill.; one uncle Jack Claude Kitchel of San Leandro, Calif.; one brother-in-law, Gerald Crownover and wife Gail of Caldwell, Idaho, one sister-in-law, Judy Walker and husband Mike of Malvern, Ark.; her nephews, Lynual Harrod and wife Shirley, Gaylon Harrod, and Dwayne Harrod and wife Lori, all of Fontana, Calif.; Lloyd Corker and wife Joann, and Johnny Corker of Warren, Ark.; Greg Zimmerman and wife Jonie of Jerseyville, Ill.; Sean Zimmerman and wife Jennifer of Carrollton, Texas; her nieces- Shelia Mead and husband Larry of Jerseyville, IL; Brenda Dix and husband Von Phoenix, Ariz.; Erma Owen of Fontana, Calif.; Vickie Huston and husband Ross of Peel, Ark.; one step-son Tony Worrell and wife Pam of Hot Springs; four step daughters, Donna Worrell of Arkadelphia, Ark. and Sherry Worrell of Colorado, Loveda Duvall of Benton, Ark. and Mary Donham of Abilene, Texas; special friends Patty Prator, Fay Holmes, and Janis Thornton all of Malvern ; and very special friends and caregivers, Linda States of Hot Springs, Mary Sampson, Janice Cannon and of course, her church family. Visitation will be held at J.A. Funk Funeral Home in Malvern on Friday evening, September 6th, from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral services will be Saturday morning at 11 a.m. in the chapel of J.A. Funk Funeral Home with Brother Ricky Miller officiating. Burial will follow at Ouachita Cemetery, Donaldson, Arkansas. Pallbearers are Bobby Banks, Kinney Black, Marvin McDaniel, Sam Richardson, Jack Rynders and Mike Walker. The family will be at 801 Bryant Drive, Donaldson, Arkansas.
