Mrs. Imogene Powell Wells, 81, of Pensacola, Florida, died Thursday, August 22, 2013. Mrs. Wells was a native of Ashley County; a resident of Pensacola, Florida for the past 30 years and a former resident of Crossett, Fayetteville and Orlando, Florida. She was a homemaker. She is preceded in death by her parents, Rev. Simpson and Madalena Powell; a sister, Vadis Powers and two brothers, John & Gale Powell. She is survived by her husband, Norman Wells Jr., of Pensacola, Florida; two sons, Eric Wells of St. Petersburg, Florida and Jimmy Nutter and his wife, Ann, of Crossett; three step-children, Cindy Rogers, Sharon Wells and Greg Wells; two sisters, Polly Carpenter and her husband, Jack, of Russellville and Edith Watson of Little Rock; two sisters-in-law, June Powell and Nola Powell both of Memphis, Tennessee; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Memorial services are 2 p.m. Saturday in the chapel of Jones-Hartshorn Funeral Home with Rev. David Tohlen officiating. A private burial will be held in the Hamburg Cemetery.
