Mildred Inez Evans, 84, of Benton was called to her heavenly home on September 8, 2013. Inez was born in Nathan, Arkansas on August 5, 1929 to Abrum and Beulah Hadaway. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of fifty years, Gene; a sister, Estene Simpson and three brothers, Joe, Travis and Troy Hadaway. Inez loved her God and her family and they always came first but after that her next love was golf. She was a member and club champion of the Longhills Ladies Golf Association and was also instrumental in the organization of softball in the Salem Community. She was an active volunteer in the communities in which she lived including Yarborough Landing Ladies Auxiliary in Ashdown, Arkansas as well as Worthy Matron in her chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star. She is survived by one brother, J. C. (Nellie) Hadaway, Ashdown, Arkansas; a daughter, Patricia (Ron) Isaacson, of Texarkana, Texas; two sons, Dicky (Goldie) and Kenny (Emily) Evans of Benton; grandchildren, Jeff, Lora (Tracy), Jake (Jessica), Suzanne, Megan and Sarah as well as six great-grandchildren, Justin, Taylor, Kristen (Daniel), Bryan, Zayda, Korbin and many beloved nieces and nephews. Services will be held at Ashby Funeral Home on Wednesday September 11, 2013 at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Carlton Cross officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday evening September 10, 2013 at Ashby Funeral Home Chapel from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Saline Memorial Hospice.
