Charlen Cullum

Mrs. Charlen Willoughby Finton Cullum, age 76, quietly went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sept. 12, 2013 at her home in North Little Rock, Ark. She was born July 25, 1937 to the late James and Thelma Willoughby. Charlen was a loving wife, mother, sister, and daughter who constantly put others before herself. She lived a Christ-like life helping others whenever the opportunity arose, giving her all for those around her. She was a faithful member of the Oak Grove church of Christ, in Oak Grove, Ark. Mrs. Cullum was a hard worker. She worked for 54 years in the business world at General Electric Credit, American Prestige, and The Student Loan Foundation of Arkansas. She was a conscientious employee who always took her work seriously. According to those with whom she worked, she was a joy to be around. Recently a friend of the family was quoted as saying, "She was a wonderful woman who was the definition of a true lady inside and out. She had a sweet heart and a beautiful smile. I loved her and am blessed for knowing her. Everyone around her always felt so loved by her and loved her in return." She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Thelma Willoughby as well as a brother who died at birth, Scotty Willoughby. She was also married to Billy Hugh Finton, who passed away in 1997. She is survived by her husband, Farris Carl Cullum of North Little Rock, her brother Jim Willoughby Jr. of Clinton, three sisters, Kathryn Ballard and Jean Robison, both of Conway, and Verlen Drew of Clinton, as well as her only child, Mark Finton of Trenton, Tenn., his wife Stephanie Finton, and two grandchildren, Parker and Kinlee Finton of Trenton, Tenn. Funeral Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, September 14, 2013 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home Chapel Clinton, Arkansas with Brother Keith Almond, Garry Martin, and Mark Finton officiating.
