Vickie J. Gladson

Vickie J. Gladson passed away at Memorial Medical Center September 9, 2013. Vickie was born in Miami, Fla. to John E. Gladson, Sr. and Ilene Godfrey Gladson. She graduated from Miami Dade High School. She earned her nursing degree from Baptist Hospital School of Nursing in Little Rock. She worked as a nurse at Baptist hospital in Little Rock, Ark., and as a traveling nurse throughout the country. She helped with the seven counties kidney support group. She was an avid gardener. She is preceded in death by her parents, and a granddaughter (Alyssa). She is survived by her children; her daughters, Carol (Jay) Amos and DorLisa (Robert) Sandoval; a son, John P. Gladson I (Samantha); two grandsons; brother, John E. Gladson Jr. (Jessie); stepson, Ben Morris; stepdaughter, Tonya Vtech-Via (Dino); two step-grandchildren and numerous others that she considered family. In lieu of flowers, donate to a homeless shelter in her name.
