Franklin D. Clark

Franklin D. Clark, 80, of Pine Bluff, Ark., died Friday, Sept. 13, 2013. He was born Dec. 3, 1932, in Star City, to J. W. and Grace Marie Robinson Clark. He was reared and educated in Pine Bluff, graduating from Watson Chapel High School. He served in the United Sates Navy during the Korean Conflict. Mr. Clark had worked 18 years for Cotton Belt Railroad, before retiring in 1981, as a conductor. He was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Odis D. Clark and a sister, Mary M. Carver. Survivors include his wife, Mary Catherine Martindale Clark, whom he married on Nov. 5, 1999, in Pine Bluff; two siblings, Lavenda Keatts, Archie Clark; sons, Franklin W. Clark of McCaskill, Rickey L. Clark of Cabot; a daughter, Sharon E. Clark of Vilonia; a step-daughter, Billie S. Reagan of Pine Bluff; grandchildren, Zachary Clark, Brody Clark, Ashleigh Kaffenberger and Samantha Kaffenberger. Visitation will be Sunday, 4 to 6 p.m. at Robinson's. Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Monday, Sept. 16, 2013, Chapel of Ralph Robinson and Son with Reverend Charles Cantwell officiating. Burial will follow in Holly Springs Cemetery, Star City, Ark.
