David P. Byrd

David P. Byrd, Jr. 49, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away Saturday, September 14, 2013 in a local hospital. He was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas to David Byrd Sr. and Nancy Manney Nicholas. He was a past House Manager for Harbor House and was a member of Courage for Change Church as well as several Narcotics' Anonymous groups. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at Courage for Change Church with Reverend DeWayne Hicks presiding. He is survived by his mother, Nancy Nicholas of Van Buren, Arkansas; his father David P. Byrd of Dumas, Arkansas; one brother, James P. Byrd of Fort Smith, Arkansas; his maternal grandmother, Jane Manney of Little Rock, Arkansas and a half-brother, Jonathan Byrd of Dumas, Arkansas. The family will welcome visitors from 5-7 p.m. at the Courage for Change Church on Tuesday, September 17, 2013.
