Lola Odell Glover

Lola Odell Glover, 92, of Searcy, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, September 19, 2013. She was born Monday, May 2, 1921 in Mt. Vernon, Arkansas to the late Howard Clifton and Vera Viola Graham Griggs. Mrs. Glover graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in 1938 where she was the Salutatorian. Mrs. Glover was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Searcy having joined on October 3, 1948. For the next 65 years she was very active in all church aspects, a member of the Philathea Sunday School Class and she taught the four and five year old Sunday school classes for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Hassell Glover; and two sisters, Eva Mae Spaulding and Joy Dean Felton. Left to cherish her memory are her son, Woody Glover and wife Marilyn of Covington, Louisiana; three daughters, Martha Mae Miller of Texarkana, Texas, Cindy Lites and husband Jim of Searcy and Donna Hodge and husband Steve of Denison, Texas; she was Noni to eight grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren. She also leaves a sister Geraldine Berry of Middlebury, Indiana. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, September 20, 2013 at Roller-Daniel Funeral Home (501)268-3546. Funeral service will be 2:00pm, Saturday, September 21, 2013 in the First Baptist Church of Searcy with Pastor Brian Whitney and Brother David Crouch officiating. Interment will follow in White County Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be her grandsons, Mitchel Miller, Michael Miller, Trey Glover, Robert Blot, Brad Hodge and Jared Hodge.
