Susie Irene Bryant

SUSIE IRENE BRYANT, 87, of Little Rock, passed away on Friday, Sept. 20, 2013. She was born on July 20, 1926, in Yell County to John Robert and Ada Jeffers. Susie proudly served as an educator for 35 years for the Little Rock School District and University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She was active in the United Methodist Church women's organization and also volunteered to assist children with learning disabilities. Susie loved being around her family and friends and treasured the time she spent with them. She was always regarded as a very kind person. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rudolph Alexander Bryant, and brother, Buck Jeffers. Susie leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Sarah Powers-McCormick; her brother, Bobby Jeffers (Juanita); her grandchildren, Jay Powers, Josh Powers (Amy), James McCormick, and Stephanie McCormick; and her great-grandchildren, Walter Powers and Elizabeth Powers, and a host of extended family and friends, all who will dearly miss her. Susie's life will be celebrated on Monday, Sept. 23, at 10 a.m. at the St. Paul United Methodist Church sanctuary in Little Rock with Reverend Jerry Collins officiating.
