Mildred Pauline Burr

Mildred Pauline Burr, 95, of Conway, passed away Friday, Sept. 27, 2013. She was born Dec. 30, 1917 in Laverne, Okla. to the late George Washington Chambers and Nancy Eva Lillie Sharp Chambers. Pauline was also preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Delmar L. Burr and her 10 older siblings. Pauline was a very loving wife and mother, who loved her family very much. She loved her children and their spouses and was very proud of each and their accomplishments. Pauline was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for family gatherings. She also enjoyed gardening; sewing, word puzzles, and was a lifelong animal lover and was especially fond of her Pekingese, Molly. Pauline will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her three sons, Gordon Burr (Betty) of Hot Springs, Ark., Donald Burr (Brenda) of Denton, Texas, and Gary S. Burr (Carol) of Conway, Ark.; two daughters, Connie Simpson ( Fred) of Conway, Ark. and Debbie Floyd ( VADM Kenny) of San Diego, Calif.; seven grandchildren, Randall Burr of Fort Worth, Texas, Sandra Ryan of San Antonio, Texas, Laura Yaeger of Austin, Texas, Kevin Burr of Denton, Texas, Douglas Burr of Denton, Texas, Lanie Simpson of North Little Rock, Ark., Wesley Simpson of Greenbrier, Ark.; 18 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday Sept. 30, 2013 at Roller-McNutt Funeral in Conway, (501) 327-7727 with Rev. Bob Kessinger officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Pauline's grandsons and great-grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be Gene Long and Norman Crass. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
