John Burnett

John Alfred Burnett, Sr., born July 22, 1939 to Euall and Hazel Burnett in Gravel Ridge, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, March 30, 2014. He has been married to his loving wife, Katherine (Sue) Ashcraft Burnett for 53 years. He served in the U.S. National Guard, 125th Medical Battalion and the U.S. Army Reserves, 489th Engineer Battalion. He worked in Graphic Arts Photography for 30+ years and was the owner of J.C.'s Dairy Bar in Ferndale, Ark. John was a member of the Model "A" Ford Club of Little Rock and loved restoring Antique Cars. John is survived by his wife, Katherine Burnett; his daughters, Johnnie Sue Wynn (Kevin) and Tammy Love; his son, John Burnett Jr.; his grandchildren, Jason Wynn (Erin), Carlton Burnett, Katherine Capuson, Craig Wynn, Logan Thomas Sr. and Kenneth Burnett-Andrews; his great-grandchildren, Alexandra and Elijah Burnett, Jessica Capuson, and Logan Thomas Jr.; his brother, William Burnett (Mary); as well as many other family members and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Euall and Hazel Burnett; his brothers, Orval Gene Burnett, Bobby Burnett, and Kenneth Burnett; and daughter, Wanda Burnett. Pallbearers will be, Carlton Burnett, Craig Wynn, Logan Thomas, Kevin Wynn, Billy Burnett, and George Collie. Honorary pallbearers are Jason Wynn, Wayne Richardson, Brad Earls and Ron Henderson. Family visitation will be at Little Rock Funeral Home this evening, Tuesday, April 1, 2014 from 6 to 8 p.m. Services will be Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 1 p.m. at the funeral home and will be laid to rest at Pinecrest Memorial Park in Alexander. The family would like to extend a spiritual thanks to David, Roger, Vickie, and the staff at Arkansas Hospice for the wonderful loving care they gave to John during his final days.
