F. Irvin Brown, 99, of Benton passed away on Tuesday, April 1st, 2014. He was born in the Avilla community of Saline County on December 8th, 1914 to the late Will and Pearl (Bunt) Brown. He was a long time member of Mabelvale United Methodist Church. Irvin retired from Alcoa and enjoyed spending time squirrel hunting. gardening and was an avid dancer. He played softball and started a three generations of softball players in his family. He was preceded in death by his wife, Emilie Brown, daughter, Jean Roe, grandson, Joseph Brown, his four sisters and four brothers. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Joan; son, Dale (Carolyn) Brown; daughter, Marilyn (Mickey) Lynch; stepchildren, Tom (Pamela), Jim (Lesa), Kenney (Vivian) and Gene Brown and Rita (Frank) Nichols; his nine grandchildren; his eight great-grandchildren; his nine step-grandchildren; his 17 step-great-grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends. Visitation will be on Friday, April 4th, at 1 p.m. at Mabelvale United Methodist Church with the service following at 2 p.m. with Brother Bob Marble officiating.
