Ross David Raines

Ross David "Rusty" Raines, 56, of North Little Rock, passed away Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at the VA Hospital after fighting a brief but vicious battle with cancer. Rusty was born in Little Rock to Phillip and Colleen Raines on August 19, 1957. He grew up in North Little Rock where he attended school, graduating from NLRHS in 1976. He then worked off-shore for Teledyne Oil Company for a period of time before going into construction work. He was a member of Baring Cross Baptist. He is preceded in death by his father; brother, Kenny Raines and his wife, Kathy M. Raines. Surviving are his children, Jennifer Jestice (Jerad), and Scotty Osborne; his mother, Colleen Frierson; and brother, Steve Milburn (Kanda) of Miramar, Fla.; seven grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, who were very special to him also survive. Funeral service will be held on Saturday morning, April 5, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Baring Cross Baptist Church with Dr. Marty Watson officiating. Interment will be at Rest Hills Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Scotty Osborne, Dylan Osborne, Jerad Jestice, Ricky Marisse, Shawn Crouse, and Thomas Rose.
