Leah Margaret Harper Mazzanti, of Crossett, age 80, died Friday April 4, 2014, at St. Vincent Hospice Care Hospital in Little Rock. She was born Feb. 4, 1934, in Forest, La., the daughter of the late W.P. Harper and Myrtis Brock Harper. She was an LPN, homemaker and a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Crossett. She was preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers, James Reginald, Harol Wayne, and Marvin "Hot" Harper. Survivors are husband, Frank Mazzanti, of Crossett; and three daughters, Lisa Ann Mazzanti of Monroe, La., Pamela Kay McClain and husband, Paul of Crossett, and Mary Lynn Mazzanti and husband Jonathan Taylor of Boston, Mass.; three brothers, Tom Harper and wife Mary, Lee Harper and wife Lois, and Dee Harper and late wife Janice; one sister, Helen Dyche of Monroe, La.; four grandchildren, Taylor Charles Mclain, Alex Mason Mclain, Leah Mildred Taylor, and Nina Catherine Taylor; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family. Visitation is 6-7 p.m. with rosary at 7 p.m. Sunday, April 6, 2014 at Bishop Funeral Home. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m.. Monday, April 7, 2014 at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church with father Theophilus Okpara as celebrant. Burial will follow in St. Isadore Cemetery under the direction of Bishop Funeral Home of Lake Village. The family request that in lieu of flowers, memorial be made to St. Mary's School.
