Geraldine Yeatman Finch

Geraldine Yeatman Finch passed away on Monday, April 7, 2014 at her home in Crossett. Born April 7, 1926 at the Old Crossett Camp she moved to Crossett as a youth when the camp was closed. She was a homemaker, loved to work in her yard, read, and spend time with her family. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Crossett. She is preceded in death by her parents Ludie and Lydia Arnold Yeatman; brothers, Robert Yeatman, Archie "Bucky" Yeatman; sisters, Maxine Y. Elliott and Francine Y. Morgan. Also preceding in death was her husband, William E. "Bill" Finch. She is survived one daughter, Elizabeth Ann Brooks Laney of Crossett, Ark.; two sons, John Charles "Sonny" Brooks (Elizabeth) and James E. "Jim" Brooks (Sheri), all of Crossett, Ark.; one step-son, William E. Finch Jr. (Betty) of Water Valley, MS and one brother, William Yeatman (Becky) of Warner Robbins, Ga. She also leaves brhind eight grandchildren, Sarah Brooks Couthren (Taylor) of Clarksdale, Miss., John C. Brooks Jr. (Stephanie) of Crossett, Ark., Kara Brooks Greiner (Jay) of Greenbrier, Ark., James Bryson Brooks of Greenbrier, Ark., annie Courson (Larry) of Sterlington, La., Miranda Gray of Walker, La., Kelsey Jade Brooks of Crossett, Ark., Lynn Finch of Harahan, La. and seven great-grandchildren, Brooks Couthren, Peyton and Brody Greiner, Drake and Kason Brooks, Skyler Courson and Aubrie Jo Gray, along with numerous nieces and nephews and other loved ones. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Lakewood Cemetery under the direction of Jones Funeral Home of Crossett, Ark. (www.jonesservice.com).
