James Gordon Walker, Jr., 40, of Little Rock, joined his heavenly Father Thursday, April 10, 2014. Jimmy was born April 7, 1974 in Gulfport, Miss. to James Gordon Walker, Sr. and Senita (Arthur) Walker. He is preceded in death by paternal grandparents James and Janie Walker of Carthage, Miss. and Burtis and Reba Arthur of Union, Miss. Jimmy was a kind, gentle, and loving soul. His favorite pursuits were reading and spending time with his family. He was a rare intellect and a walking encyclopedia of knowledge. Jimmy was an Eagle Scout, National Merit Finalist, and recognized by the National Council of Teachers of English. He dearly loved Jennifer, his wife and childhood sweetheart, his chosen children, Rhiannon, Gareth, and Rowan, and his parents. Jimmy made the lives of those around him brighter and he will be greatly missed. He also leaves to cherish his memory a brother Kelly, sister-in-law Dusty, and nephew Tullos, all of Trussville, Ala.; mother-in-law Linda Smith and sister-in-law Heather Smith, both of Little Rock; father-in-law Carl Smith of El Paso, Texas; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. www.arkansasfuneralcare.com.
