Mary K. "Kitty" Mauney

Malvern, AR, 1934 - 2014

Mary K. "Kitty" Mauney, age 79 of Malvern passed away Sunday, April 13, 2014 in Hot Springs. She was born on Oct. 12, 1934, in Willow, Ark. the daughter of Hugh and Lillie (Watson) Myers.
Kitty was 1952 graduate of Carthage High School, had worked for the Malvern Hospital, and was a homemaker. She was a member of Second Baptist Church and had worked in the nursery many years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Mauney Sr.; five sisters, Lennie Mae Shuffield, Jessie Cooper, Emogene Bean, Ila Rhea Caddy, and Billie Lee Meyers; brother, Jewell Meyers; nephews, Toby Bean and Jerry Shuffield.
Kitty is survived by her sons, Cecil Mauney Jr., (Terri), and Benny Hugh Mauney; two grandchildren, Stacy Steed and Drew Mauney; three great-grandchildren, Colby, Connor, and Emily Steed all of Malvern; two special nieces, Vickie Landreth (Tom), and Helen Christmas; as well as a host of other nieces and nephews; and great nieces and nephews.; two sisters-in-law, Patsy Mauney and Julia Ann Miller; one brother-in-law, Kenneth Mauney (Dorothy) all of Dumas.
Visitation will be Tuesday, April 15, from 6-8 P.M. at Regency.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at Second Baptist Church with Brothers Joey McDermott and John Chandler officiating. Burial will follow in Cypress Cemetery.
In Lieu of Flowers memorials may be made to Second Baptist Church, Malvern.
