Maudie L. Sayger

Maudie L. Sayger age 88, of Biscoe was born Jan. 24, 1924 and passed away on April 12, 2014 at Chambers Nursing Home in Carlisle, Ark. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Biscoe and taught Sunday School for a number of years. Maudie was also a retired postmaster. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Rooker Phifer of Hazen; her husband, Paul W. Sayger; four sisters; and one brother. Maudie is survived by her daughter, Paulette (Jimmie) Hurt of Biscoe; two grandsons, Aron Hurt of Monette, Ark. and Jason (Marie) Hurt of Springdale; and three granddaughters, Ava, Eliza, and Eleanor Hurt of Springdale, Ark. The family would like to thank the Chambers Nursing Home and Mattie for the special care and love they gave to Maudie while she was there. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at the First Baptist Church of Biscoe. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Monday, April 14 at Westbrook Funeral Home in Hazen.
