Allie Joe (Ol'Buddy Joe) Kemp, 93, of North Little Rock passed away Saturday, April 12, 2014. He was born July 31, 1920 in Denmark, Arkansas. Kemp served in World War II in the United States Army and was in an Engineering Battalion in the Philippines, achieving the rank of Sgt. 1st Class. He worked for VA Hospital in Little Rock for 24 years as a Respiratory Therapist. He also worked as a barber, mechanic, construction worker and his hobby for many years was golf. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cora Lee Kemp. They were married from 1950 until her death in 2006. His parents and all his siblings preceded him in death. His sister-in-law, Betty Jean Houston also preceded him in death. He is survived by his brothers-in-law, Willis C. Huffman (Loeta) and James "Mickey" Huffman (Robbie). He leaves a host of nieces and nephews. He is also survived by special friends, Jeff Reynolds, Dr. Michael Church and Harry Harvey. His great-nephews will serve as his pallbearers.
