Haley Christine Beckman, 24, was taken from us on April 11, 2014. Haley was born October 15, 1989, in Memphis, Tenn., to Donna Isaacson Beckman of Little Rock, Arkansas and Roger D. Beckman of Austin, Texas. Haley graduated from Festus High School in Festus, Mo. where she was an active member of the Drama Club and the Academic Team. She attended Missouri State University in Springfield while working as an administrative assistant to trial expert witness, Professor Larry Cox. Family and friends were Haley's love and joy. She was a thoughtful and loving daughter, granddaughter, sister, aunt, niece and cousin. Her friends will attest to her loyalty and dedication to them, and she will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate enough to know and love her. She was a true animal advocate and loved her black lab, Jack tremendously. Haley was an avid reader and very passionate and politically conscious, supporting many causes close to her heart. She was a scholar and a gentle woman, a beautiful soul taken much too soon. Haley is survived by her parents; her brother, Nicholas R. Taylor; grandmother, Mary Ann Brady; step grandfather, William Burke Brady; niece, Abby Taylor; uncles, Ron Beckman, Barry Beckman, Gary Beckman, Kelly Isaacson and Tom Isaacson; aunts, Anita Knife, Vickie Shoptaw, Kim Comeau, Tammy Honer and Carolyn Rentrop; and multiple cousins. She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents; Norman Rudolph Beckman and Charlotte Baker Beckman. A Memorial Celebration of Haley's life will be held at Ruebel Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 17, 2014 followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Our House Shelter Little Rock or C.A.R.E. Shelter of Springfield. Arrangements by Ruebel Funeral Home, www.ruebelfuneralhome.com.
