Roy Wright

Roy Lee Wright, age 78, of Benton, passed away Tuesday, April 15, 2014. He was born March 14, 1936 in Benton, Arkansas. Roy served in the National Guard and was a member of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church. He was self-employed with diverse business interest. Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Ervin and Sadie Wright. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Wright; eight children, Bill (LeJeanna) Carter, Danny (Cathy) Carter, Renea Wright, Dottie (Mike) Lobbs, Toni Wright Stephenson, Jeannie (Ray) Long, Jimmy (Lynn) Wright and Debbie (James) Stailey; two sisters, Billie Wilson and Linda (Ross) Reeves; 10 grandchildren, Danny Joe Carter, William Carter, Megan (Matt) Thompson, Ronnie Stailey, Krissy Wright, Jimmy David (Ashley) Wright, Danny Grace, Cody Peters, Doug (Brianna) Horn and Jessica (Michael) Adair and five great-grandchildren, Raygan Thompson, Jax John Carter, Ava Adair, Dakota Wright and Addyson Wright. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, April 17 at Ashby Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday, April 18 at Ashby Funeral Home with burial at New Rosemont Cemetery. Family Comments: Roy enjoyed traveling with Dorothy and he made sure that his two youngest children traveled to the lower 48 states.
