Ronald Stephen Smith

Ronald Stephen Smith, 66, passed away Feb. 17, 2014 at his home in Santa Clara Yucatan, Mexico. He was born April 12, 1947 in El Dorado, Ark. He lived in Little Rock, Ark. until he moved to Mexico in 2008. Stevie was preceded in death by his parents, Roland and Ruth Smith of Lawson, Ark.; one sister, Frances Smith Franks Brack of Dallas, Texas; one brother, William Smith of El Dorado. He is survived by two sisters, Beverly Patterson of Ft. Smith, Ark. and Diane Bubbus of Russellville, Ark.; a brother, Alan Smith of Hot Springs, Ark. He graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in Horticulture and Landscape Design. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He owned and operated Central Arkansas Landscape and Design until his health prevented him from working. Stevie made many friends in Mexico who enjoyed fishing with him. He loved planting flowers and bird watching. Memorial services will be April 27 at 2:30 p.m. at Atkins City Cemetery in Atkins, Ark.
