John "Johnny" S. Beebe Jr.

John "Johnny" S. Beebe Jr., 83 of El Dorado, Ark., went to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at the John R. Williamson Hospice House following a lengthy illness. Born on Nov. 30, 1930 in El Dorado, Ark.; he was the son of John S. and Vada "Cricket" Currie Beebe Sr. Johnny was a self employed oil producer. He was a member of the Civitian Club and Gideon International. Johnny was an active member of Immanuel Baptist Church, singing in the choir and onetime taught children Sunday School Classes. He enjoyed golf and cheering for the Razorbacks. Johnny was preceded in death by his parents; a son, John S. Beebe III; a daughter, Crisanna Jackson; a grandson, John S. Beebe IV; and a sister, Juanita Luttrell. Survivors are his loving wife of 63 years, Martha Sue Ruple Beebe of El Dorado; daughters, Connie (Danny) Gryder of El Dorado and Lucy (Morris) Lawson of Farmington, Ark.; along with grandchildren, Keely Cook, Kip Amedee, Cassie Jackson, Keb (Jennilee) Brasher, Bendy (Drew) Glover, Ashley (Ritchie) Solomon, Evan (Tera) Lawson, Chris Faries, Branson Lawson; and six great-grandchildren; and his special friends and caregivers Darlene Green, Sheldon Easter, and Sammie Jean Moore. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 29, 2014 at Immanuel Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Sanders officiating. Interment will follow at Arlington Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Young's Funeral Directors.
