L.C. Roberts of the East End Community was born August 18, 1943 at Tuckerman, Arkansas, the son of the late William Lesley "Les" and Lucille Pauline Walden Roberts. He was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing, mud-riding, four wheeler riding, camping, and anything else that involved being outside. L.C., his late wife Doris, and their son, Ronnie, worked side by side in the sign business. He was in the sign profession for over 45 years, before retiring from the family business, Signs and Lines Graphic Arts, and the family tradition continues to live on with Ronnie. L.C. died Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at his home, surrounded by his family, at the age of 70. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the love of his life, his wife, Doris Ann Reynolds Roberts, a sister, Judy Roberts Hughes, and a nephew, Ricky Campbell. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Donna Roberts of East End; grandson, Nicholas "Clay" and wife Morgan Roberts; great grandchildren, Gavyn Clay Roberts, Blakely DeShea Roberts, and Saylor Emerson Roberts, all of Ico; brothers, Charles Roberts and wife Barbara of Tuckerman, Bobby Roberts and wife Shirley of Monticello, Bill Roberts and wife Dian of Newport; sisters, Shirley Campbell and Patricia McKenney, both of Newport. He is also survived by a host of friends. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home Chapel in Sheridan. Burial will follow in Sheridan Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements by Memorial Gardens Funeral Home of Sheridan (870) 942-1306.
