William Howard Haithcote

William Howard Haithcote, age 88, of Greenbrier, Arkansas, formerly of Shelbyville, Tennessee, died August 6, 2014 at the Greenbrier Nursing and Rehab Center. A native of Bedford County, Tennessee, Mr. Haithcote was born October 31, 1925, the son of the late Erdley William Haithcote and Lula Hasty Haithcote. He was a letter carrier for the United States Postal Service and retired after 30 years of service. He was a Christian and a member of the Greenbrier Church of Christ. Mr. Haithcote is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Jeanne Marie Wiggins Haithcote; daughter Brenda Chunn and husband Mike; granddaughter, Amy Drewry and husband Brian; grandsons, Dr. Andy Chunn and wife Andrea, Brian Chunn and wife Sarah; eight great-grandchildren, Will, Caroline, and Clarie Drewry, Hannah, Isaac, and Caleb Chunn, Sterling and Broxton Chunn; nieces and nephews in Tennessee. Mr. Haithcote was preceded in death by three sisters: Virginia Bearden, Katherine Reed, and Ruth Martin, and one brother, Hubert (Buster) Haithcote all of Bedford County, Tennessee. Funeral service for Mr. Haithcote will be at 1 p.m. Friday, August 8, 2014 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier, Arkansas with Bro. Glen Elliott officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in the Woodland Memorial Park, State Highway 16 west in Cleburne County, Arkansas.
