Loral Moore Jr., 77, of Hector passed away Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2014. He was born during the flood of 1937 in Evansville, Ind. He served in the United States Navy and traveled the world. He worked as a park ranger at Burns Park, and later retired from Baptist Hospital where he worked in security. He then started Wildlife Taxidermy in Benton. He was of the Baptist faith. He never met a stranger and had something in common with most people he met. Junior, as he was known by his family and friends, loved animals, especially his three dogs, George, Bo and Sam. He was an outdoorsman who loved camping, hunting, fishing and riding four wheelers in the Ozark Mountains where he later retired. In the most recent years his two favorite hobbies were playing video games and dove hunting. He looked forward to the yearly September hunt with family and friends. He is survived by his children, Michael Ray Moore (Diane), Laura Moore Ward (Glenn) and Ronald Moore (Sharie); three grandsons, Ronald Jason Moore Jr., Mitchell Taylor Moore and Glenn "Lane" Ward; three step-grandsons; three step-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Frances Huff and Annabelle Geary. He was preceded in death by his parents, Loral Sr. and Ina Kuhn Moore; brothers, Marvin Moore, Freddie Lee Moore; and his sister, Katherine Moore Stewart. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Gentiva Hospice and his caregivers at Valley Ranch Nursing and Rehabilitation. Memorials may be made to your local Humane Society. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Tuesday at Smith – North Little Rock Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery.
