Charles Ellis "Charley" Gray passed away August 10, 2014. He was born January 24, 1939 in Little Rock, Ark. and graduated from Little Rock Central High School in 1956. He was preceded in death by his mother, Katy Wahl. He is survived by his wife, Carol Lee Tanner Gray; sister, Linda Gilbert from Rogers, Ark.; three sons, Gregory Gray of Serverna Park, Md., Charles Kevin Gray of Annapolis, Md. and Jeffrey Carl Gray of Edgewater, Md.; two stepsons, Stephen Darrell Gray of Byhalia, Miss. and Charles Vincent Gray of Collierville, Tenn. and nine grandchildren. He worked for American Airlines for 40 years and the Memphis Shelby County Airport Authority for 13 years. Charley loved sports, especially football and golf. He was an avid Razorback fan and a member of the Arkansas Razorback Foundation. He was a supporter of the United Way. He also loved backyard bar-b-ques with family and friends. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 4-6 p.m. August 13, at Collierville Funeral Home. A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, August 14, at Riverwood Memorial Gardens in Little Rock, Ark. The requests in lieu of flowers memorials be sent to Methodist LeBonheur Children's Hospital, 848 Adams Ave., Memphis, Tenn. 38103.
