Mark Ray Allen

Mark Ray Allen, born on March 11th, 1950, of Clever, Mo., son of Bernice King Allen and the late Hale Ray Allen, went to heaven on Thursday morning, August 14th, 2014. He had an intense appreciation for hard work and strong values. Mark attended the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville where he studied engineering. He then attended culinary arts school in Louisiana. Mark was also an entrepreneur with his father, Hale Allen in developing the Hidden Valley Country Club in Clever, Mo. He left behind countless friends and colleagues whose lives he affected in ways that will never be forgotten. The service and celebration of Mark's life was Saturday, August 16th, at Brown Church in Puxico, Mo., where he was laid to rest next to loved ones who had preceded him. Mark is survived by his precious mother, Bernice Allen of Russellville, Ark., and four wonderful children he loved so dearly, Chrissy Welch of Greenfield, Mo., and her husbasnd Eric, Cheri Allen of Springfield, Mo., and two sons, Matthew, a Marine Corporal stationed in California and Nathan Allen of Clever, Mo. He was also blessed with three grandchildren, Collin Allen and Dalton and Blade Welch. Mark will be sadly missed by his four sisters and brothers-in-law, Marilyn Kay and Harry Rosenblum of Little Rock, Sheila and Robert Faulkner of Frisco, Texas, Debra and Kim Phillips of Lebanon, Ohio, and Laurie and James Bibler of Russellville, Ark. Survivors also include his aunts and uncles, Gale King, John and Carrie Newman, Mike and Jane Allen, Juanita King, Allene King, Midge King, Don and Phyllis King and numerous cousins and close friends.
