Gary William Harkins

Gary William Harkins, 71, of Dermott, Ark. passed away Sunday, August 24, 2014. He was born January 5, 1943 a son of the late William Monroe and Margaret Mahfouz Harkins. He was retired from Wells Lamont Glove Factory and was a cattle farmer. Gary loved to hunt, fish and work in the garden. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Furrey Harkins; daughter, Stacey Harkins Griffin; brothers, Billy Mac Harkins, Thomas Ed Harkins and John Charles Harkins. Survivors include his daughter, Leslie (Ron) Justice of Dermott, Ark.; sisters, Margaret (John) Heuston of Little Rock, Ark., Essie (Bruce) Erwin of Selma, Ark. and Betty Scifres of Pine Bluff, Ark.; sisters-in-law, Naomi Harkins of Dermott and Janine Harkins of Pine Bluff, Ark.; grandchildren, Beth Justice, Matthew Justice and Luke Justice. Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at Dermott Cemetery with Rev. Jody Gannaway officiating. Griffin-Culpepper Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.
