Charles Edwin (Little Pete) Newsom

Charles Edwin (Little Pete) Newsom, age 76, of De Valls Bluff, died Monday, August 25, 2014 at the V.A. Medical Center in Little Rock. Charley was a farmer, enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved life. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin "Pete" and Emma Newsom and a brother, Forest Mathis. "Little Pete" is survived by two daughters, Terri Newsom of Romance, Arkansas and Lisa Austin of Grand Forks, North Dakota; one son, Chuck Newsom of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; three grandchildren; Wesley Austin, Robby Newsom, and Lauren Neal and a sister, Becky Isbell of Hazen, Arkansas. A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Thursday, August 28, 2014 at Calvary Baptist church in Hazen. Visitation with the family will be from 2 to 3 p.m. prior to the service.
