Danny Lynn Bankston

Danny Lynn Bankston, 71 of Heber Springs, formerly of North Little Rock, died Monday, August 25, 2014. Danny was born June 2, 1943 in Kennett, Mo. to the late Leo and Myrtle (Zachary) Bankston. He is also preceded in death by a brother, Leon. Mr. Bankston worked for Safeway and Arkansas Brokerage. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, making his family his number one priority. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Linda Bankston of Heber Springs; children David Lynn Bankston and wife Angel of Conway, Karen Renee Derrick and husband Briant of Heber Springs, and Paul Scott Bankston and wife Lisa of Burbank, Calif.; siblings, Garnetta Boles of Hamilton, Ohio and Larry Bankston of Wentzville, Mo.; grandchildren Jill Bankston, Allison Bankston, Martin Richardson, Amanda Bankston, Nathan Bankston, Tristen Bankston, Abigail Bankston, Ben Derrick, and Hunter Derrick; and great-granddaughter Avery Fowler. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, August 27, 2014 at Olmstead Funeral Home in Heber Springs.
