Erika Nicole Carrettta

Erika Nicole Carretta age 28 of Hot Springs, Ark., surrounded by the love of her family, was called home to Heaven on August 23, 2014. She was born on May 21, 1986 in Little Rock, Ark. to Shannon Carretta and Ernest Carretta. She spent her life bringing lots of joy and love to her entire family, which extended to many countries around the globe. Erika is survived by her mother and step-father, Shannon and Gary Griffin of Hot Springs, Ark. and her maternal grandparents, Richard and Anne Brantley of Little Rock. Erika is survived her father, Ernest Carretta of Rome, Italy and her paternal grandmother, Betty Ruth Holmes Carretta of Dumas, Ark.; as well as her brothers, Brooks Carretta and Michael Santamaria. Erika also leaves behind her most precious friend, Brandy Richards, and numerous beloved cousins, friends and extended family. Erika lived a full life in her short 28 years, not allowing the debilitating condition of spina bifida to slow her down. She was gifted in languages, speaking Italian, English, Spanish and Romanian fluently. She was an inspiration to many, and took life head first, always with a smile on her face. Her family is comforted knowing that Erika is now free to dance around Heaven, and able to be with her beloved Nana in their final resting place.
