Andrew "Andy" Fairchild McGee

Andrew "Andy" Fairchild McGee, 56, of Siloam Springs, Ark. died Thursday, Nov. 27, 2014. He was born Jan. 8, 1958, in Vicksburg, Miss., a son of the late Marvin A. and Effie Louise (Fairchild) McGee. He was a 1976 graduate of McClellan High School and earned his BA in political science from Hendrix College in Conway. Anyone who knew Andy knew he was an avid reader, enjoyed anything about history, politics—the Kennedys or Patton. He was a Navy Veteran and was of the Baptist faith. He worked for many years for Allen Canning and most recently Wal-Mart for the past three years. He is survived by his brother, Donald McGee and wife, Lisa of Vilonia; two nieces; one great-nephew, one great-niece and a number of aunts, uncles and a host of friends. A graveside service to honor his life will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2014 at Forest Hills Cemetery in Alexander, Ark., with visitation at graveside beginning at 12 p.m., under the direction of Griffin Leggett Conway.
