GLADYS "GEGE" THALHEIMER, 90, of Little Rock passed away Sunday, Nov. 30, 2014. She was born in Louisville, Ken. April 18, 1924. She graduated as Salutatorian from Louisville Girls High School. She has served as a past board member of the YWCA and past president of the Sisterhood of Temple B'nai Israel in Little Rock. Her favorite charity work was for the Red Cross for many years, mostly at UAMS. She attended Vanderbilt University and the University of Illinois, where she was awarded the Senior Award for Design in the Fine Arts School. She was Assistant to the Controller for Joseph E. Seagram and Sons Inc. and was a founding board member of the Arkansas Repertory Theatre and also served as a Volunteer for the STOP Campaign and The Women's Emergency Committee. She was a buyer for the Irma Dumas Stores and designed jewelry for The Sharper Image Catalog and Stores. She is survived by her husband, Alan, and two children, Richard Thalheimer and Joan Nafe and four grandchildren, Laura, Eve, Lily and Alana. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2014 at 2 p.m. in Oakland Jewish Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Jewish Federation of Arkansas or Planned Parenthood of Arkansas.
