Surry G. Shaffer Jr.

Surry G. Shaffer Jr., 89, of Hot Springs Village formerly of Dallas, Texas departed his earthy home on November 30, 2014. Surry is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Dori Shaver Shaffer; sons, Surry Shaffer III and Ben Shaffer (Marcille); and daughters, Sallie Shaffer Moss (Bernie Smink) and De Shaffer. Memorial service with military honors will be 1:30 p.m. Friday at Christ of the Hills United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials donations may be made to the Hot Springs Village Chapter of the Military Order of the Purple Heart, Hot Springs Village Lion Club, Christ of the Hills Methodist Church or the charity of your choice.
