Mr. Robert V. "Bob" Pierce, age 59, of Hope, Arkansas passed away early Monday morning, December 1, 2014, at St. Paul University Hospital in Dallas, Texas. Mr. Pierce was born December 8, 1954, in Crosett, Arkansas to John Robert and Chloe Etta Maxwell Pierce. Mr. Pierce was a 1973 graduate of Hope High School, employed for 9 years, at the Arkansas Highway Department and retired after 30 years, with Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and attended the First Baptist Church in Hope. Mr. Pierce was a loving and dedicated husband and father, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing but most of all he loved to spend time with his family. Mr. Pierce was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, John H. Pierce and Anthony R. Pierce and brother-in-law, Jimmy Johnson. Mr. Pierce is survived by his wife of 38 years, Judy Crider Pierce of Hope, son, John A. Pierce and wife Candace of Fayetteville, Arkansas, brothers, Lane Pierce and wife Billie of Bradley, Arkansas and Paul Pierce and wife Becky of Searcy, Arkansas, sister, Susan Johnson of El Dorado, Arkansas, sister-in-law, Marjorie Pierce of Searcy, special family member which Bob adored Mattie Zulpo of Tontitown, Arkansas and a host of other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in Hope, 315 South Main, Hope, Arkansas 71801. Visitation for Mr. Pierce will be 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, December 5, 2014, at Brazzel/Oakcrest Funeral Home. Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Saturday, December 6, 2014, at First Baptist Church in Hope with Dr. John Braden and Bro. Mark Fischer officiating.
