Carl Edward Crutchfield

Carl Edward Crutchfield, age 80, of Leola passed away Friday, Dec. 5, 2014 at his home. He was born Feb. 7, 1934 in Leola, the son of the late Thomas Richardson Crutchfield and Alma Davis Crutchfield. Mr. Crutchfield worked as a millwright for Toler Lumber Company for many years. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Crutchfield is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Buddy Crutchfield; son, Charles E. Crutchfield and sisters, Ruby Reddin and Vera Sorenson. Left to cherish his memory daughter, Vera Smith and her husband, Mack of Leola; grandchildren, Jody (Elecia) Smith and Sharon (Ronnie) Sprouse; great-grandchildren, Destiny Sprouse, Haven Sprouse, Chase Sprouse, Gunner (Taylor) Smith, Dakota Smith, Colton Smith, Kameron Smith and Dustin Langley and great-great-grandchildren, Jaxon Smith and Grace McCoy. Graveside services are 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 8, 2014 at Philadelphia Cemetery in Prattsville, with Pastor Johnie Brewster officiating. The family will be gathered at the house of Vera Smith in Leola.
