JAMES MILO CONARD (JIM), 83, of Little Rock passed into Glory, surrounded by family and friends on Dec. 5, 2014. He was born in Cabot, Ark. to the late Fields and Marjorie Conard. He was also preceded by his only sibling, Bob Conard. He is survived by his wife, Bettye of 61 years; son, Mark Conard (Phyllis) of Atlanta, Ga.; his daughters, Cheryl Harris of the Sardis Community and Lori Hamilton (Dave) of Dallas, Texas. He also is survived by grandchildren, Trey Harris (Jessica) of Trumann, Ben Harris of the Sardis Community; Jordan and Anna Conard of Atlanta, Ga.; Jack, Katie and Caroline Hamilton of Dallas, Texas. Jim loved The Lord, his wife, Bettye, his children, his extended family, life and everyone he came in contact with. He served The Lord and the congregation of Carthage Presbyterian Church up until his passing. He graduated from Cabot High School, Ouachita Baptist College, Southern Baptist Theological Seminary and University of Pennsylvania. He was Chaplain for the Arkansas Mental Health Facility for 37 years, retired Colonel/Chaplain for 27 years in the Arkansas National Guard, certified marriage and family counselor and pastor of the Carthage Presbyterian Church. Jim was a man of many hobbies, all of which he pursued with full passion. Jim was a generous servant, has never met a stranger and has taken many under his wing that needed help at any time. A memorial service will be at Roller Funeral Home located at 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, AR (501) 224-8300 on Wednesday, Dec. 10 at 2 p.m. Visitation with the family will be following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to LifeQuest of Arkansas, Vera Lloyd Presbyterian Home for Children and Arkansas Department of Veteran Affairs—Special Funds.
