Columbus Lee "C.L." House, 88 years old, was born on January 16, 1926 to Grover Lonzo House and Louella Rebecca House of North Little Rock. He has one brother, Grover House (Jr.) and preceding him in death, a sister, Noveda Hampton. C.L. married Carlene Thompson on June 21, 1947. He dedicated his life to her and his four children, Janie Nickols (Duane Nickols), Susan Fox (George Fox), Marylee House (Marty House) and Sam House (Ann House); six grandsons; three granddaughters; fourteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; five nephews; and one niece. C.L. worked in a sheet metal business over the years with his father, his uncle, his brother, and his son-in-law on Broadway in North Little Rock. He loved to fish, he had many fishing stories and many friends to share them with. He treated his friends like family and his family like friends. Foremost in his life was Jehovah his God, his Father, his Friend, and his dear son, Christ Jesus. He dedicated his life and was baptized February 25, 1953 and faithfully served as one of Jehovah's Witnesses for 61 years. Sleeping in death he now rests in Jehovah's memory waiting peacefully for the promised resurrection (Acts 24:15.) Soon to be with us again in a righteous New World (2 Peter 3:13, Rev 21:3,4.). Special thanks to Home Health Care of the V.A. for their support and who took such exceptional care of him for over a year, and to Chambers Nursing Home, who although not having him long, made his last few days comfortable and treated him so kindly. The family thanks you all. A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2630 W. Main, Jacksonville, Ark. on Saturday, December 13th at 2:30 p.m. by David Hilliard. Visitation with the family will be announced. To sign his guestbook, please visit www.arkansasfuneralcare.com Arrangements made by Arkansas Funeral Care.
